Your own mark in the Digitone II start-up animation: scattered by the intro's tunnel, held still or flashing, broken into glitching ASCII, or spinning in like a 1960s TV transition. Pick your firmware and a picture, download a signed image.
Everything happens in this tab. Your firmware and your picture are never uploaded — this page has no server to upload them to. It is static files on GitHub Pages; you can read every line in the repository.
Prove your way back before you flash anything. The Early Start-up Menu reflashes stock firmware over MIDI. Do that once, with an unmodified image, before you flash a modified one — and back up your +Drive, which no tool here can recover.

The screen is 128 × 64 pixels, one bit each. Any picture is fitted to it and cut to black and white at the threshold you choose. The chimera is ours, drawn for this project.
Instead of the tunnel, the mark breaks into characters: noise that tears and slips like lost video sync, cells locking into the picture one by one, then a residual glitch that keeps flickering until the Digitone is ready. After the DNX start-up screen.
The font is 3 × 5 pixels, so only these can be used:
Instead of the tunnel, the mark spins and zooms towards you, back and forth, over a swirl of smeared stars, like a 1960s television transition, then settles while the swirl keeps turning. A mark that does not fill the screen leaves more of the swirl in view.
The intro draws the mark through a tunnel. A denser tunnel tiles it more times.

Confirmed on a Digitone II. A flashing mark built by this mod booted and played on the instrument on 2026-09-17, and the ASCII glitch and the spin on 2026-09-18 — upright, fluent, with no delay to start-up. The page and the command line produce the same bytes.
Combines with Modulation Destinations, the MIDI Arpeggiator and the Transient Swapper. Not with LFO Waves yet: both copy data up through the same start-up hook, and this page refuses an image that already carries it.
